Jiangxi Kona Industrial Co., Ltd. (KONA) will exhibit at CGC Expo (Autumn) 2026, the 18th Weihai International Fishing Tackle Expo, running September 19 to 21 at the Weihai International Economic and Trade Exchange Center. Kona’s booth, E5-5309, will cover the company’s full hook range, boat and pond fishing, lure fishing, sea fishing, and general-purpose hooks, alongside a newer design the company is bringing to the floor for the first time this season: a patented triangle-shank hook it calls TAS.
What’s new at the booth
Most fishing hooks are built from round wire. Kona’s TAS line swaps that for a triangular cross-section shank, a change the company says improves resistance to bending under load without adding extra weight to the hook. Kona is showing the design specifically as a circle hook variant at this year’s expo, with booth graphics highlighting both the shank’s bend resistance and the penetration force at the rear of the shank near the eye. It’s a patented design, and one that’s easier to evaluate by handling a sample than by reading a spec sheet, which is a large part of the reason to see it at the booth rather than in a product photo.
Why the venue matters
Weihai has functioned as China’s fishing tackle manufacturing hub for years, and CGC Expo is one of the industry’s larger annual gatherings for hook, line, rod, and reel manufacturers and buyers. For a company built around hook manufacturing specifically, a booth at Weihai puts Kona’s range in front of the buyers most likely to actually evaluate it hands-on: distributors, tackle brands sourcing OEM production, and wholesalers stocking for the season ahead.
